Throughout my life, I have always been caught daydreaming, staring into space or zoning out without realising I was doing it. I imagine intricate storylines, characters and settings usually based on what I’d hyper fixated on for any amount of time. So, my work has been focusing on the idea of maladaptive daydreaming and how it can be communicated in a way that anybody who sees it can understand what they are looking at and/or experiencing.

To execute this, I am focusing on using appropriated imagery from different forms of media and pop culture and collating other found imagery with the aforementioned appropriated images. To create these collages, I use Adobe Photoshop instead of physically collating images onto a page and scanning it into a digital document.

Considering the fact that not everybody’s mind works in exactly the same way, I thought that it may be interesting to have the option to move the images around into different formations whilst creating the collages, asking the question of 'What do other people daydream of? And, how does that look to them?’
