My practice explores the transition between the personal and the political. By examining the clear distinction in the thick of the communications industry and my subconscious. Yet, it interlinks the concepts with an ambivalent quality. I am continuously trying to challenge both my individual and practical relationship with the outside world. Self identified as ‘Media consumed’, majority of my tradition explores the act of consumption. Besides addressing themes of my own sexuality, self awareness and emotional reasoning. Calling attention to queer rights, whilst exploring how art can be used as a political statement. In accompany of my performance background informing my current practice, implemented through a body of multi-media works evidencing self- depictions. Spotlighting the queer take on mainstream media, through intent research that has now become the leading percentage of my development. As well as the findings of the research completely diverging into contrasting mediums. I have recently began dealing with the very human interaction with technology, exploring my creativity towards more digital based approaches. Including the state of the COVID-19 pandemic it presents a challenge to exhibiting works solely online. Highlighting my works very public interaction with the digital platform, attracting an introspection for both me as an artist and the audience on the whole.
